Provider Technology Strategy practice.  Optum Advisory Services (OAS )  is the Healthcare consulting arm of United Health Group (UHG) .

He advises health care CIOs and leadership teams on IT strategy and optimisation challenges in the context of broad transformations, value-based care enabling partnership, and interoperability. He has led a number of merger and acquisition integration programmes. Carol coordinates the monitoring and assessment of health care IT electronic medical records and HIT innovations more broadly, and helps health care providers introduce new technologies to their solution portfolio and commercialise information technology assets.

Carol has deep experience in planning and implementing digital health and population health enabling technologies and has led national, state wide and community based health information exchanges initiatives.

He leads Optum Advisory Services’ practice which focuses on reducing the cost of clinical information systems implementation and on-going support. He has led large and complex technology implementation and adoption. His functional knowledge includes: clinical transformation and integration, practice management, patient administration and accounting, benefits administration, membership and claims management. Carol has rich international experience including work in the US, Canada and the NHS.
